FIELD: data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for decoding a bitstream audio stream with enhanced spectral band copy metadata. At least one block of the coded bit audio stream is received. Part of at least one block of the coded bitstream is demultiplexed. Portion of at least one block of the coded bit audio stream is decoded. Moreover, at least one block of the coded bit audio stream includes: a filler with an identifier indicating the beginning of the filler, and filling data after the identifier. Moreover, the padding data includes: at least one flag identifying whether the enhanced spectral band copy processing should be performed for audio content of at least one block of the coded bit audio stream; and metadata of the extended copy of the spectral band.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of efficiency of decoding.
