FIELD: medicine; pharmaceuticals.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the chemical-pharmaceutical industry and is an ophthalmic composition in the form of a suspension for external use for the treatment of the disease of the posterior segment of the eye, the composition comprising an active agent of formula II, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, wherein the active agent or pharmaceutically acceptable salt is present in an amount of 0.1 % to 5.0 % w/v and at least 95 % of the active agent is present in an insoluble form, and the use of the composition in the preparation of a medicament suitable for deliver to the posterior segment of the eye and/or for treating and/or alleviating the disease of the posterior segment of the eye.
EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to improve the method of delivering the active agent to the posterior segment of the eye without explicit accumulation in the anterior segment, which is achieved due to the presence of more than 95 % of the active agent in an insoluble form.
