SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus and method for controlling the glow of visual display means. Result is achieved by obtaining the brightness of the environment; determining the glow parameter of the message indicator located on the terminal, based on the brightness of the environment; and controlling the message indicator to perform a glow based on the glow parameter.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of dynamically adjusting the glow parameter and the color temperature based on the brightness of the environment, so that the glow is compared with the brightness of the surrounding medium.
