SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for controlling the life cycle of a payment token on a mobile device. Method includes: functioning of the database of tokens in the computer system, the database being configured to display tokens in the primary account numbers (PANs) for accounts on payment cards, storing the corresponding entry in the token database, wherein the token is mapped to a corresponding PAN that identifies the payment card account and which belongs to the cardholder who uses the mobile device, providing a token to the mobile device and determining whether an automatic renewal of the expiration date is provided for the token, updating the corresponding entry in the token database in response to this definition.
EFFECT: increased security when making payments by the mobile device.
