Semiconductor gas sensor comprises a semiconductor substrate and a substrate. Semiconductor base is made of a polycrystalline film of a solid solution of the composition (CdTe)0.39(CdS)0.61, deposited on a non-conductive substrate.

EFFECT: sensor according to the invention, with a significant simplification of the technology of its manufacture, makes it possible to determine the content of carbon monoxide with a sensitivity several times higher than that of known sensors.
