FIELD: sensors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of gas analysis, in particular, to detecting apparatuses applied for recording and measuring the content of trace amounts of carbon monoxide and can be used for environmental monitoring. The sensor according to the invention comprises a semiconductor base and a substrate. The semiconductor base is made of a polycrystalline film of a solid solution of the composition (CdTe)0.35(CdS)0.65 applied onto a non-conductive substrate.
EFFECT: with a significant simplification of the manufacturing technology thereof, the sensor provides a possibility of determining the content of carbon monoxide with a sensitivity exceeding the sensitivity of known sensors by several times.
