SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solvents for the removal of asphaltene deposits in wellbores and production pipelines. Method for treating a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation to eliminate asphaltene deposits contained in a wellbore, comprising providing an asphaltene solvent that consists of dimethyl sulphide and introducing said asphaltene solvent into a wellbore. Method for treating an operational pipeline from a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation, for the removal of asphaltene deposits contained in the production pipeline, comprising providing an asphaltene solvent that consists of dimethyl sulphide and introducing said asphaltene solvent into the production pipeline. System for removing asphaltene deposits, comprising: an asphaltene solvent consisting of dimethyl sulphide, an asphaltene storage tank containing at least a portion of said asphaltene solvent, and a borehole penetrating the oil reservoir, wherein said asphaltene solvent storage is operably fluidly coupled to a wellbore or production pipeline from a wellbore. Invention is developed in dependent items of the formula.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the efficiency of removing asphaltene deposits in the wells and production pipelines.
