FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal treatment by pressure and can be used in the manufacture of a ring-shaped article. In the first forging step, a first forged product is formed having a disc-shaped bottom and a peripheral wall that is inclined toward the direction from the center of the bottom to its outer periphery. In a next step, the bottom of the first forged product is pierced, followed by the ring rolling step of the pierced article. Resulting ring-shaped article is then placed inside the two molds and subjected to a second forging to form an annular molded article.
EFFECT: improvement in the quality of the products obtained.
