FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Engine (10) comprises cylinder block (12), cylinder head (14) and piston (18). Cylinder block (12) has at least one cylinder bore (20). Cylinder hole (20) runs along axis (22) of cylinder opening (20). Cylinder head (14) is rigidly attached to first end (12T) of the cylinder block. Piston (18) moves back and forth along axis (22). Piston (18) comprises skirt (38) sliding along the wall surface of cylinder bore (20). Cylinder bore (20) includes first portion (48) in first region (Rs). First portion (48) is a portion where the diameter of cylinder hole (20) is minimal in the second zone (Ls) of cylinder hole (20). Second zone (Ls) is the zone through which skirt (38) moves when piston (18) makes a reciprocating motion. First zone (Rs) is the zone in the axial direction of cylinder bore (20) facing skirt (38) when piston (18) is at the bottom dead center. Clearance in the radial direction of cylinder opening (20) between skirt (38) and first portion (48) when piston (18) is at the bottom dead center, has a minimum clearance in the radial direction between skirt (38) and the wall surface of cylinder hole (20) in the second zone (Ls).
EFFECT: technical result consists in reducing the consumption of motor oil and in reducing friction between the piston skirt and the wall surface of the cylinder bore.
