FIELD: fiber-optic communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical communication devices, namely, to a fiber optic connector and a connecting shaft used in a fiber optic connector. Essence: fiber-optic connector contains ribbon branch cable (110); connector sub-assembly (150), while one end of connector sub-assembly (150) is attached to ribbon branch cable (110); connecting shaft (134); elastic element (132), wherein elastic element (132) is mounted on coupling shaft (134), and one end (132a) of elastic element (132) rests on shoulder (134a) of coupling shaft (134) and is located near connector sub-assembly (150); inner coupling element (140) configured to accommodate connector sub-assembly (150) wherein one end of inner coupling element (140) is higher than the end surface of ceramic tip (152) of connector sub-assembly (150), and inner coupling element (140) is provided with an open groove, so that the cross section of inner coupling element (140) is C-shaped; outer coupling element (130), wherein outer coupling element (130) is adapted to be fitted onto inner coupling element (140) and is able to slide forward and backward relative to inner coupling element (140); outer coupling element (130) is a stepped circular tubular structure and one end of outer coupling element (130) forms an inwardly facing inner shoulder (130d) of the shaft, which is adapted to rest on the other end (132b) of elastic element (132). Coupling shaft used in the fiber optic connector contains a plastic body and a flange. Flange and plastic body form an integral part due to the use of injection molding. One end of the plastic body is provided with a threaded hole that is threadably connected to the element mounted on the coupling shaft. At least one side of the flange is provided with a hooked groove which is adapted to be hooked to the power member of the ribbon branch cable. Hook groove is a notch formed by the machining of the flange and having an arcuate edge.
EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the fiber optic connector.
