FIELD: fat and oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fat and oil industry. Method of processing oil seeds before pressing involves microwave heating of seeds to temperature of 50–60 °C with intensity of 0.2–1.0 °C/s under vacuum at residual pressure of 50–100 mm Hg, standing for 60–90 s without access to air and without lowering temperature of seeds.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase oil quality in peroxide index and period of its safe storage.
