FIELD: fat-and-oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves separating oil-bearing seeds by sizes into large-sized and small-sized fractions; directing small-sized fraction for commercial processing without intermediate storage period; heating large-sized fraction in electromagnetic microwave field at frequency of 3·107- 3·1012 Hz to temperature of 30-700C; cooling to temperature of 5-100C and storing at this temperature until postharvest ripening is completed.
EFFECT: increased oil content of seeds and reduced postharvest ripening time.
