SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to a clutch control device and to a control method for a clutch control device. Clutch control device is configured to control the clutch device between the engagement state and a disengaging state by adjusting the fluid pressure within the fluid pressure chamber of the coupling device. Clutch is located in the power transmission path between the engine and the gearbox. Clutch control device includes a clutch actuator, a clutch pedal, a first channel, a second channel, a shift mechanism, an electronic control unit. First channel is configured to control the fluid pressure by directing the flow of working fluid into the liquid pressure chamber or from the liquid pressure chamber by the operation of the clutch actuator. Second channel is configured to control the fluid pressure by directing the flow of working fluid into the liquid pressure chamber or from the liquid pressure chamber due to the driving force generated by depressing the clutch pedal. Switching mechanism is adapted to switch the working fluid channel in communication with the liquid pressure chamber between the first and second channels. Electronic control unit is configured to control the switching mechanism so as to switch the working fluid passage communicating with the liquid pressure chamber, from the first channel to the second channel, when the electronic control unit detects the presence of a malfunction in the operation of the clutch drive.
EFFECT: clutch control device allows the clutch to operate in accordance with the degree of depression of the clutch pedal, even in the event of a malfunction of the clutch actuator.
