SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology. To diagnose the condition of the cornea using the orthokeratological contact lens, confocal microscopy is performed, which results in histomorphological changes in the state of the cornea. Evaluation of histomorphological changes in the state of the cornea is carried out with gradation on 4-point scale, and histomorphological changes in the state of the cornea in the epithelium and stroma are assessed. When establishing a histomorphological pattern of the cornea, corresponding to 2 points or higher, the state is regarded as exceeding the limits of the adaptation norm and is corrected by the appointment of keratoprotectors.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the tactics of the patient's management during both the stressful adaptation period, and at any other stage in the process of using the orthokeratological contact lens, which increases the safety and tolerability of the application of the orthokeratological contact lens.
