FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: serial spark discharger is started as a result of the fact that the first voltage distribution facility is connected parallel to partial spark discharges (1, 2) of serial spark discharger, besides at least in one partial spack discharger (1, 2) an additional electrode (10) is placed, voltage of which is established on specified level by means of the second voltage distribution facility, capacitance of which is lower than capacitance of the first voltage distribution facility, so that voltage aplied to the first voltage distribution facility does not change dramatically. Level of additional electrode voltage varies due to displacement of voltage distribution in the second facility of voltage distribution.

EFFECT: ignition of partial dischargers by voltage, which is considerably lower than voltage of automatic ignition.
