FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel management systems for internal combustion engines. Methods and systems are provided for enriching an engine cylinder in response to an indication of premature ignition. Cylinder is first enriched by increasing the proportion of fuel supplied to the cylinder through the injection nozzle into the intake passage at the event of an open intake valve. Cylinder then continues to be enriched by increasing the proportion of fuel supplied to the cylinder through a direct injection nozzle into the cylinder.
EFFECT: technical result is the suppression of premature ignition of the mixture in the cylinder and the reduction of emissions of solid particles with exhaust gases.
