FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to the storage of biological samples. In the method, the device for cryopreservation in a closed system for vitrification of biological samples contains an elongate body, a truncated cone extending from the first end of the elongated body, a sampling tip extending from said cone in a direction opposite to the elongated body and an elongated cap for sealing the biological sample with an elongated hollow chamber. Said chamber’s inner surface forms a frustoconical volume corresponding to the truncated cone in such a way that when the cone is inserted into the chamber, the entire inner surface is in contact with the outer surface of the cone. Also, the device has a substantially uniform thermal expansion coefficient.
EFFECT: device for cryopreservation has been proposed.
