SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drying equipment, and more particularly to dryers with an active hydrodynamic regime intended for drying disperse plant materials, and can find application in production of food products, medicines and dyes. Unit for drying disperse plant materials in a layer of polydisperse inert bodies contains a conical chamber of a suspended layer with tangential inputs of an additional coolant, vertical drum with a central cone, tangential inputs, coupled to a heater, and a feeder. Conical chamber has an adjustable tangential outlet from the upper part of the dryer to the lower part for recirculation of the finely dispersed inert part and an ejector in a wet material feeding zone.

EFFECT: intensification of drying process.
