FIELD: fodder production.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in the fodder production industry for the green mass of forage crops for herbivores – rabbits, goats, sheep and cattle. Method for treating plant biomass for efficient storage includes mowing and vacuuming of plant biomass, treatment of mowed grass in a light-salted solution with a concentration of 3 to 5 % by dipping, mechanical shaping of the mass with removal of excess solution from the grass surface, vacuuming of biomass in the absence of pressing herbal juice.
EFFECT: use of the present invention makes it possible to obtain a fodder with high quality indices.
