FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Disclosed is a method for complex treatment of plant biomass with production of fodder for herbivorous animals, including mowing and subsequent vacuum treatment of plant biomass. It also includes direct supply of plant biomass after mowing for treatment in a weakly saline solution with concentration of 3 to 5 % by dipping it for at least 15 seconds, mechanical molding of the treated plant biomass with removal of excess solution from its surface by gravity method with layer-by-layer portioning to obtain the finished product with weight fraction of moisture of 4.0 ± 0.43 % and subsequent portion evacuation of the obtained product.
EFFECT: method ensures production of fodder with high quality indices and with biological activity higher by 40 %.
