FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of measuring technology and relates toa tool and devices for determining the contamination of liquid and gaseous media. Method comprises passing a light flux of a certain power and wavelength through a controlled medium and measuring the power level of the light flux in the absence of contamination particles and a power level in the presence of contamination particles. Further, the difference between these values is calculated, and the concentration of mechanical impurities is found from the ratio of the power level drop and the light transmission coefficient, taking into account the correction factor for each cleanliness class of the controlled medium. Device includes a light emitter, a measuring volume in a controlled environment, a photodetector, a current-voltage converter, a demodulating logarithmic amplifier, a microcontroller, and an information display device.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy of measurements and improving the structural quality of the crystals.
