FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the seismic data technique used in marine geophysics and can be used in hydroacoustics for manufacturing in flexible extended towed antennas. In the proposed method and apparatus, the hydrophone section of the towed streamer is immersed in a well filled with water in the earth's surface and with the aid of a calibration weight and weights determine and regulate its buoyancy.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to determine and regulate the buoyancy of large-length hydrophone sections (100–150 m) filled with a gel-like filler during its existence in the liquid phase, substantially simplifying the process and reducing labor costs.
