SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for mocking three-dimensional products based on the use of polygonal cutting, and can be used in the field of industrial design, in the manufacture of three-dimensional objects and mock-ups for advertising and design and educational purposes. Essence of the invention consists in the fact that a method of search and demonstration prototyping based on polygonal cutting is created, which includes a polygonal pattern of the virtual model of the mocked object, characterized in that a layer of polymeric clay is applied to the surface of the polygonal pattern, allowing to hold the joined elements of the assembled mock-up by sticking along the edges of the edges of the edges of the pattern elements, after assembling the pattern of the layout, the polymer clay is subjected to appropriate processing, leading to its solidification.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is increased accuracy of reproduction of the form of the mock-up virtual model, simple and quick assembly of the layout using a polygonal pattern, the possibility of adjusting the layout and making changes to it for prototyping, improving the form-reproduction of the mocked object, improving the strength characteristics of the layout.
