FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: one-type engines of known effective output are subjected to unbracked tests. Maximum electric pulse magnitude (voltage, current or power) developed by the transducer is registered by appropriate electrodynamic meter for every engine of the group. Note here that the function of maximum pulse magnitude at the engine effective power is found. Then, maximum magnitude of the primary transducer is defined at the test of any other engine of the same type under the same testing conditions. Results obtained with application of said function are used to define the effective power of one separate engine. This allows the application of standard electrodynamic meters, i.e. ammeter, voltmeter or wattmeter, at unbraked tests of the engines.
EFFECT: simple and efficient process.
