Information presenting apparatus for use in an autonomous vehicle capable of switching, based on a travelling condition of the vehicle and outside circumstances of the vehicle, between autonomous driving control and manual driving control. Information presenting apparatus comprises a system confidence level calculator, an information presenting unit and an information presentation controller. System confidence level indicates the state of the control system when performing autonomous driving control. Information presentation unit is configured to present, to the driver, information on permissibility of an action other than driving. Information presentation controller is configured to control switching of the content of the information according to a result of comparison between the system confidence level and a predetermined threshold.
