SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of communication technologies and in particular to providing a channel access process in a wireless local area network and is intended for accessing an OFDMA channel. Method comprises the steps of: generating by the station a pause count value; subtract the number of N sub-channels for random access from the pause count value to obtain a new pause count value; and when the new pause count value is 0 or a negative number, one subchannel of the number of sub-channels for random access is randomly selected by the station, and then accesses the sub-channel to transmit the upstream frame.
EFFECT: increase the efficiency of access to the system and the absence of unnecessary expenditure of system resources.
