Hand knife with a short blade comprises a handle and a blade inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handle downward in the operative position with a cutting edge. Angle of inclination of the blade relative to the longitudinal axis of the handle is 15–90°. Cutting edge is made on the lower edge of the blade, adjacent to the handle, while the blade extension, measured parallel to the longitudinal axis of the handle from the lower edge of the handle to the lowest point of the edge of the blade adjacent to the edge with the cutting edge, has a height of up to 50 mm.
