FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to current collectors of vehicles with electric traction. Contact insert comprises a housing with a groove for a contact wire corresponding to the shape of the contact wire, and liners. Inserts are in the form of plates of partially stabilized zirconia, located along the working surface of the body. Thickness of the plate and its length are in the ratio 1:10.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increased strength, antifriction properties of the contact insert.
