FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of a functional gradient material on a substrate by direct laser application. Device contains a laser unit and an acoustic generator. In the case with the outlet hole, an insert with a central pass-through channel for the laser beam is installed with an annular gap. Branch pipe is intended for supplying alloying elements to the annular gap, and the additional branch pipe is installed perpendicular to the axis of the housing and is intended to supply an inert protective gas to the central passageway of the insert. Device is provided with a table for positioning the substrate and a system of actuators for reciprocally moving the housing relative to the surface of said table. Waveguide of the acoustic generator is rigidly fixed to the housing with the working part of the waveguide located below the outlet opening of the housing and with the possibility of creating oscillations of different frequency, amplitude, and power.

EFFECT: technical result consists in the possibility of obtaining multilayer coatings with a functional gradient structure, purposefully formed in the process of direct laser deposition by exposing the metal to acoustic vibrations with a variation in the frequency of the oscillations, the power of the action, and the amplitude of the acoustic waves.
