FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and a device for laser deposition of metal powder material on an article surface and can be used in additive manufacture of articles. Proposed method comprises feeding inert gas and powder filler material through gas-powder nozzle and melting of treated article surface by laser radiation. Laser radiation is modulated with frequency of ultrasonic range and with coefficient of amplitude modulation of less than 100 %. By exposure to the laser radiation constant component, the powder material is melted on the article surface to form a molten bath, and exposure to pulse component of laser radiation is used to generate acoustic oscillations in molten bath. Device comprises laser unit, gas-powder nozzle with nozzle for supply of powder material and nozzle for supply of inert protective gas, insert installed in nozzle with formation of annular gap for supply of powder material and having a central pass channel for laser radiation, a table for placing the article, an ultrasonic frequency generator and a laser radiation intensity modulator.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of products processing.
