FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel cyanated naphthalenebenzimidazole compounds of formula I (I) or mixtures thereof, where R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, R8, R9 and R10 – hydrogen, cyano or phenyl which is unsubstituted or substituted with RAr, where RAr is selected from cyano, halogen, C1-C30-alkyl, C2-C30-alkenyl, C2-C30-alkynyl, C3-C8-cycloalkyl, phenyl, provided that the compounds of formula I contain at least one cyano group. Invention also relates to colour converters comprising at least one polymer as a matrix material and at least one compound (I) as a fluorescent dye, to the use of such colour converters and to lighting devices comprising at least one LED and at least one colour converter.
EFFECT: invention provides novel compounds (I) with enhanced photostability at a wavelength of 400 to 500 nm and compatibility with LED manufacturing operations, as well as effective colour converters based thereon, which have high quantum yield of fluorescence and improved colour rendering of the light source.
