FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for controlling the production of machine building made of alumina ceramic. Filtering control on the alternative feature of products from a vacuum-dense alumina ceramic containing in its composition oxygen-containing aluminum compounds, calcium and silicon, includes monitoring the anorthite content in the glass phase by recording the height of its peak X-ray diffraction in sintered ceramics. As a property characterizing a unit of production as defective, presence of anorthite crystals in the sintered ceramic is used, the height of the X-ray diffraction peak of which exceeds 0.01 the height of the peak of the X-ray diffraction of alpha corundum, corresponding to an interplanar distance of 0.34779 nm. Such a solution makes it possible to identify and eliminate, at the entrance inspection of products from vacuum-dense alumina ceramic, in the structure of which anorthite is contained, which can crystallize to form anomalously large crystals.
EFFECT: presence of anorthite crystals in products with increased requirements for reliability contributes to failures associated with loss of appearance, corrosion and erosion of the surface with deterioration of mechanical properties.
