SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Configuring (S10), using wireless communication device (10, 12), a time window for reporting to the wireless communication network; determining (S12), by the wireless communication device (10, 12), whether the data transmission from wireless communication device (10, 12) is scheduled to the wireless communication network for a certain transmission time within the time window of the reporting; transmit (S14) the report together with the scheduled data transmission if it is determined that the specified transmission is scheduled for a while transmission in the time window of the reporting; and transmit the report when the end of the time window of reporting is reached or after reaching the end of the time window of reporting, if it is determined that there is no scheduled data transfer for any time of transmission in the time window of reporting.

EFFECT: achieving a flexible and efficient, in terms of resources, operation of the wireless communication device when sending reports to the network.
