SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hybrid vehicles. In the method, the power unit control apparatus of a hybrid vehicle comprises a controller selectively defining an auxiliary driving mode in which the electric motor generator outputs the driving torque, and a driving mode with generation using an engine in which the electric motor generator outputs the power generation torque, as hybrid modes in which the engine and the electric motor generator are sources of propulsion. Said controller includes a motor-to-electric motor speed limit setpoint module and a speed limit control unit decreasing the speed limit to said upper rotational speed.
EFFECT: improves the operation of the power unit.
