FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the preparation of 1,1-dibromo-1-fluoroethane, comprising step A of reacting 1,1-dibromoethylene with hydrogen fluoride in the presence of an amine to obtain 1,1-dibromo-1-fluoroethane. Amount of amine is within the range of 1 to 30% (w / w) relative to hydrogen fluoride.
EFFECT: technical result is a simple and stable preparation of 1,1-dibromo-1-fluoroethane with improved yield.
