SUBSTANCE: invention relates to network communication technologies. Apparatus comprises circuitry operable for inter-cell device-to-device discovery, the circuitry configured to: receive device-to-device synchronisation-signal configuration information and synchronisation-signal transmission-timing information; identify a plurality of physical resource blocks in a first sub-frame of a transmission resource pool that are allocated for signal transmissions based on signal configuration information, the transmission resource pool comprising a D2D-discovery resource pool, wherein resources are allocated in a time-division multiplexing manner at a system level, wherein the resources in the D2D-discovery resource pool are allocated on a non-UE-specific basis (Type 1) or are allocated semi-persistently on a UE-specific basis (Type 2B); and send or receive D2D synchronisation signals using the plurality of blocks based on signal configuration information.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of data processing speed.
