Wireless communication device configured to access a wireless access node is configured to: selecting a training sequence code (TSC) based on the coverage area class of the wireless communication device, and transmitting one or more access request packets via a logical channel to a wireless access node, in which each of one or more access request packets includes a selected TSC.

EFFECT: technical result is to increase the logical channel capacity for serving wireless traffic.
