FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wind power engineering. Wind turbine blade with a transformable profile, including a tip made in the form of an input part that is made of flat plates connected by a vertical hinge, the tip of the blade is provided with a mechanism for changing the distance between the free ends of the flat plates of the tip, made in the form of two rods, each of which is hinged at two points – with a flat tip plate and with a clutch freely moving along the guide rod connecting the fixed part of the stabilizing plane with the vertical hinge located in the inlet part of the ferrule, the guide bar is provided with an adjusted spring inserted into the telescopic cylinders and connecting the clutch with the stopper mounted on the guide rod, in addition, the clutch is hingedly connected to an additional thrust connecting it to the movable part of the stabilizing plane.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing the wind energy utilization factor with wind turbine blades with a vertical axis of rotation.
