SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. Production of hydrogen fluoride is carried out reacting calcium fluoride with sulphuric acid. Sulphuric acid is added to calcium fluoride particles at a rate of 0.002 to 0.07 mol/min per 1 mole of calcium fluoride in such an amount that the sulphuric acid/calcium fluoride molar ratio ranges from 0.9 to 1.1.
EFFECT: present invention provides a process for the production of hydrogen fluoride, which prevents the appearance of a pasty state during the entire hydrogen fluoride production process, mitigates the problem of corrosion due to sulphuric acid and increases the efficiency of energy consumption.
