ULTRASOUND METHOD OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTICS OF UTERUS ANOMALIES Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B8/08

Abstract RU 2671420 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to obstetrics, gynecology and radiation diagnostics, and can be used for ultrasound differential diagnosis of uterus anomalies (UA). Perform ultrasound scanning (US) of the uterus in the B-mode. Evaluate the outer contours of the myometrium in the bottom of the uterus in the transverse plane. Length of the M-echo is measured in the sagittal plane along the midline of the uterus and the maximum distance between the outer points of the M-echo or M-echo fragments. Calculate the index I1, which is equal to the ratio of the length of the M-echo to the maximum distance between the outer points of the M-echo or fragments of the M-echo. Value of the index I1 1.023 and more represents the normal form of the body of the uterus. Value of the index I1 in the range of 0.712–0.981 represents the saddle-shaped uterus. Value of the index I1 0.711 and less and the absence of division of the myometrium on the horns represents the partial septate uterus. Value of the index I1 0.711 and less and identifying the division of the myometrium in the bottom of the body of the uterus on the horns of the uterus represents the partial bicornuate uterus.

EFFECT: method simplifies and accelerates the diagnosis of automated workplaces due to the use of ultrasound in the B-mode and the calculation of the I1 index.
