METHOD FOR PREOPERATIVE MODELLING AND INTRAOPERATIVE NAVIGATION OF ORGAN-PRESERVING SURGICAL MANAGEMENT OF PATIENTS WITH VARIOUS FORMS OF ADENOMYOSIS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G16H50/00 A61B5/05

Abstract RU 2830339 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgical gynaecology, and can be used in planning surgical treatment in patients with various forms of adenomyosis. For this purpose, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is used as an imaging technique. Disclosed is a method in which at the preoperative stage MRI is performed according to a special protocol with obtaining a three-dimensional image of the pelvic organs of a patient with various forms of adenomyosis, followed by layered modelling and segmentation of anatomical structures located in the area of surgical interest, to obtain a personalized three-dimensional model of the pelvic organs using specialized software. This method allows to optimize the preoperative planning stage, perform intraoperative navigation and control of surgical management with possibility of virtual operation based on obtaining detailed data on exact location of adenomyosis centre/node, volume of focus and unchanged myometrium, relationship of adenomyosis centre/node with uterine cavity.

EFFECT: invention provides reduced rate of intra- and/or postoperative complications, as well as reduced duration of operation.
