FIELD: shipbuilding; motors and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention as a whole relates to ship propulsors, namely propulsors with a reactive water jet created by means of pumps of rotating type, namely water jet propulsors of motor boats. Water jet propulsion for outboard motor contains housing of sluice horizontal and vertical shafts installed in the housing, kinematically connected to each other, and an impeller installed at the output of housing of sluice at the free end of horizontal shaft. Housing is provided with a water-intake nozzle with a protective grate installed in the lower part of the housing and connected to the housing with the possibility of detachment, and upper end intended for connecting water jet propulsor with the lower part of deadwood of outboard motor. Water-intake nozzle is made of impact-resistant resilient material and at least partially covers the housing in its nose with overlapping of connection area of horizontal and vertical shafts.
EFFECT: improved reliability and maintainability of the water jet propulsion is achieved.
