FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurology, and can be used in laboratory diagnostics as a method of noninvasive estimation of the average level of the neurotrophic brain factor (BDNF) in blood plasma based on the microelemental analysis of hair. Method includes determining the levels of phosphorus, copper and lithium in hair samples in an amount of 3 to 5, 1 cm from the root of the hair, cut off from the occipital part of the head. Based on these data, the average level of BDNF in the blood plasma is calculated from the formula BDNF(pg/ml) = 33*P(mcg/kg) + 345*Cu(mcg/kg) + 48,178*Li(mcg/kg) + 23,810.
EFFECT: invention provides development of a new noninvasive method for estimating the average level of the neurotrophic brain factor (BDNF) in blood plasma.
