FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: new substance has been proposed – a composite material based on nanocrystalline cellulose and silicon nanoparticles, which has effective luminescence in the visible region of the spectrum under ultraviolet excitation and a high degradation resistance of the luminescent signal. This substance may be used as a hidden luminescent label to identify products containing cellulose matrix, such as paper, cloth, tablets, etc.
EFFECT: resulting composite material is environmentally friendly, is synthesized from substances widely distributed in nature, and the production costs are very low.
