FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the upper structure of a railway track. In the method, an insulating overlay for electrically insulated all-in-one bonded-bolted rail joints is installed on a continuous rail track without equalizing spans. Said insulating overlay is made in a shape that is similar to the profile of the rail. On the side of contact with the surface of the rail, electrical composite material is applied. Said insulating layer of the insulating overlay is made using the method of layering on a steel core. Above composite material has the following physical properties: glass transition temperature +60…+250 °C, reinforcement ratio 0.3–0.8. Further, the thickness of the layer of the insulating material is 1.5–2.5 mm. To form a textured outer surface, the insulating layer is provided with a sacrificial layer.

EFFECT: increase in the reliability of the metal composite overlay is achieved.
