FIELD: cleaning devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for water purification by freezing and can be used in industrial and domestic conditions. Device for treating freezing water comprises cold chamber 1 in which reservoirs 2 with detachable lids 4 are arranged in the form of a truncated cone. Bottom base of cold chamber 1 is provided with apertures for accommodating heat-insulated brine retention units 7 beyond cold chamber 1. Reservoirs 2 are installed coaxially on heat-insulated brine retention units 7 beyond cold chamber 1 with detachable lids 4 down through heat-insulating rings 14. Detachable lids 4 are cone-shaped with central holes 6 and water heaters fixed around them in the form of resistive elements connected to the power unit. In the middle of bottom 3 of each reservoir 1 there is branch pipe 5, the length of the inner end of which is 0.5–0.7 of the height of reservoir 1. Outer end of branch pipe 5 is connected by tube 13 with normally closed locking device 11 connected by control circuit to a timer 12.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce the salt content in the resulting thawed water by a factor of 10–40 with respect to the initial one in a single freeze-thaw cycle when the net melt water reaches 75 %.
