FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal forming and can be used in the manufacture of the working walls of crystallizer of the mold of a continuous casting machine for oxygen-free copper billets. Piece of copper piece is cut from an ingot obtained in a furnace of electron-beam remelting with a band saw and milled along the contour with chamfering. Then the piece billet is subjected to strain hardening by forging, after which it is cut along the thickness into two equal billets. Resulting blanks are planed or milled on all sides, after which an electrolytic coating of chromium with a thickness of 0.10–0.15 mm is applied to the forged surface of the blanks by electrolytic method.
EFFECT: improved durability of the product is provided.
