FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of materials by cutting and can be used in the manufacture of products from oxygen-free copper. Method includes drilling the workpiece on the machine, using a drill of deep drilling using the system for supplying and discharging coolant and exiting it along with the chips. Drilling is carried out on a universal horizontal boring machine with a screw drill with a diameter of 20 mm and n=600–915 rpm rotational speed of the drill. Workpiece is fixed on the table of the machine with bolts and straps, and the supply of the workpiece is carried out with a table with S=120–125 mm/min table feed speed. After drilling the hole to a depth equal to half the length of the hole, the table with the workpiece is rotated through an angle of 180°, the accuracy of rotation is verified with an accuracy of 0.1 mm and a hole is drilled from the other end until it coincides.
EFFECT: increases processing performance and ensures stable chip breaking.
