FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metal cutting and can be used in the manufacture of products from oxygen-free copper. Method involves drilling a workpiece on a machine with the help of a deep-hole drill using a system for supplying and discharging coolant and exiting it with chips. Processing is carried out on a screw-cutting machine by a screw drill installed in a three-jaw chuck with a drill speed of n=200–230 rpm. Billet is fixed on the support of the screw-cutting lathe and is fed to the caliper with the feed speed of the caliper S=0.05–0.1 mm/rev.
EFFECT: stable chip breaking is ensured and processing performance is improved.
