FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of materials by cutting and can be used in the manufacture of products from oxygen-free copper. Method involves drilling a workpiece on a machine with the help of a deep-hole drill using a system for supplying and discharging coolant and exiting it with chips. Drilling is carried out on a universal horizontal boring machine with a screw drill with a diameter of 20–25 mm with a frequency of rotation of the drill n=600–915 rpm. Workpiece is fixed on the machine table with bolts and straps, and the workpiece is supplied with a table with a table feed speed S=120–125 mm/min.
EFFECT: increases processing productivity by ensuring stable chip breaking.
